We’re looking for an experienced and safety-focused
Underground Mining Supervisor (Deputy) to join our team at Chain Valley Colliery. In this role, you’ll lead, guide, and support your crew to achieve safe and efficient production, while building a culture that embodies our values.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and supervise underground mining operations in line with statutory and site requirements.
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, mine safety management plans, and operational procedures.
- Foster a team environment that prioritises safety, efficiency, and well-being.
- Mentor and develop team members, empowering them to perform at their best.
- Collaborate with other leaders to achieve production and maintenance goals.
Selection Criteria
Those wishing to be considered for this opportunity need to address the following criteria in their application.
- Certificate of Competency as a Deputy, Undermanager or Mine Manager.
- Current Practising Certificate and up to date logbook.
- Leadership skills / experience with a focus on managing a team operating in an underground environment.
- Experience in the prioritisation of panel resources to optimise and continually improve results while safely maintaining and improving standards.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate, influence and communicate both verbally and in writing at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage all activities in accordance with relevant WH&S and Environmental obligations.
